Hurd Road during the original 1969 Woodstock Festival, tickets were not needed in those days

Taken during the 1969 Woodstock music Concert & Festival. The oak tree on the right is at the intersection of Hurd Road and West Shore Road, Bethel, NY 12720. Woodstock monument location is currently at this corner. Enchanted forest can be seen on the left, along with part of the hog farm. Tickets were not needed to attend, promoters made it a free event when hippies showed up days before the gates were ready. Some had tickets, some did not, some real original tickets, some fake. Little did they know, millions of reprinted tickets would be sold in the future, many more than the original 180,000 tickets that were sold in 1969. From Alexy collection. Vintage peace sign pendants made from original 1969 Woodstock Festival fence available on etsy, ebay, amazon, and peacefence.com. Also necklaces, key chains/rings, all can be used to open primo beer bottles.
